Tuesday February 10 Welding Project

When we first arrived in Haiti, we were on the bus going from the airport to St. Marc, and the head of maintenance who had come along asked which one of us was the welder.  Drew meekly raised his hand.  "Jesus loves you, and we have a wonderful plan for your life!" he said.  So Drew knew he had a busy week ahead. The first day he was able to go out to the village and see the project, but every day since, he has been welding on a steel framework with a chain-link center that will be used to make a cage to lock up all the tools in the new shop. Today he finished up the last panel, complete with a steel frame entry door. Next, he'll be welding some scraps from an old scissors lift into a heavy-duty ladder to reach the second level storage area in the shop. After that, there's more on the list.
