Saturday February 14 Farewell Haiti and Trip Home

After a later breakfast and a team picture we said our long drawn-out goodbyes to our new friends at the YWAM base. It was a bittersweet time. So many memories; so many experiences, but many of us were very ready to  head home. All except Chris, she wasn't ready to leave quite yet.

We spent quite awhile in the PAP airport with lots of people, waiting for our flight that had been delayed. Some of us weren't feeling the best; especially our welder.

We arrived at JFK with only a slight delay. After going through customs, we were met by a very friendly face. Elvin and Mary had their nice warm coach waiting at the curb for us, stocked with a wonderful supper of comfort food. We arrived back at the church at 12:45 am and were met by below-zero wind chills.

We praise God for the safety of our journey, and praise God for all of you family and friends who helped make this trip possible... you know who you are, and we are grateful!!
