Sunday February 8 Worship in the Park

Today we were planning to help Alain with his prison ministry. We were all on the truck and pulled up to the door, only to find out that a medical clinic was taking place inside. Instead, we decided to take our worship team to the park and have a service there.

There were several local musicians who are friends of YWAM who were helping out. We had a sound system, complete with generator, and the singing was extended and lively. Logan did a great job of leading us in some English worship songs after we finished singing the Haitian ones. We also spread out and had a prayer time as we walked around, asking God to change the park from a place of darkness to a place of light. We were able to pray for two teenage girls who were being pulled into that darkness.

After a packed lunch at the base, some chose to relax, while others went on a hike up a nearby mountain that overlooks the city.

This evening, one of the staff couples invited us to their apartment for a movie night. Tomorrow it is back to work!
